Through Human Touch and Digital Mind

Technology-and Craft-Based Making
Creative Computing, Photo Etching & Glass Casting
Through Human Touch and Digital Mind explores how digital tools, computation, and artificial intelligence transform creative practice and learning in art education. Through creative computing, digital fabrication, and craft-based processes, it investigates human-machine collaboration, experimentation, and the role of the maker’s hand. Speculative artefacts critically examine how emerging technologies reshape creative agency, authorship, and experiential learning.

Positive, Negative Space

Spatial Investigation
Image Making & Casting
Positive, Negative Space investigates the former Companhia União Fabril (CUF) industrial park in Barreiro, Portugal and its derelict landscape of ruins and materials left behind by industry. Through 3D scanning, drawing, cyanotype, photography, and casting, parts of the restricted site are brought outside the zone to document its current state and explore speculative futures.

Restructured Fragments03/2025
Spatial Investiagation
Clay 3D Printing
Restructured Fragments explores abandoned architecture, construction waste, and the glitches created through 3D scanning and clay 3D printing. Found fragments from a demolished building become material for experimentation, investigating how machines reinterpret architectural details and transform glitches, mistakes and imperfections into new forms.

Material Contrasts
Hot Working Glass
Fragile Covers investigates the material contrast of hard and fragile glass and soft and flexible fabric. Glass casts are made taking moulds from fabric clothes such as gloves and tank tops. Slumped glass pieces are made by pressure forming plastic sheets on top of the fabric pieces so that the imprint could be used for mould making. The work is a material exploration of different kiln forming methods with glass.

Memory Forest 12/2023
Material Contrasts
Digital Fabrication & Foundry
Memory Forest researches the relationship between digital and craft processes, and between wood and aluminium. The project explores emotional attachment to trees and human dependence on them, while questioning how they are treated as material resources. Throughout the process, human and technological errors create glitches that become part of the final objects.

Paper Ghosts12/2023
Material Contrasts
Digital Fabrication & Ceramics
Paper Ghosts explores the perceived value of paper as a short-lived material that has no value once it has been classified as waste. Crumpled paper shapes are shown encased in vacuum formed plastic, plaster moulds and finally in porcelain and bone china showing how it receives new appearances in different materials.

Archival Research
DigitalFabrication
Rope Swing is part of a research brief in collaboration with the ILEA Collection in the UAL Archives and Special Collections Centre. The rope swing is a dynamic object that lost all its function in the archive. Archives can be reimagined through digitalisation. Digital artefacts could regain some of their intended purpose but question the limitations of originality and realistic representation of digital artefacts in comparison to the original.

Monument of Transformation03/2023
Emotional Durability
Woodwork
The goal of this project was to create a Monument to our Time visualising the constant transformation taking place in society and the world at large. Users can create various formation of the piece. The monument is realised in wooden frames that are reminiscent of furniture pieces in the home that symbolize portals into different realities.

Photography
This series of photographs explores three iconic London buildings: The Barbican, Tate Modern, and the National Theatre through light, shadows, lines and curves. The buildings house some of the most profound artworks and performance in London. They are presented as artworks themselves through the photography, capturing how powerful this medium can be in transforming space.
